AutoZone reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on October 28, 2019.
In 2019, five AutoZone executives received on average a compensation package of $3.9M, a 50% increase compared to previous year.

William C. Rhodes III, Chief Executive Officer, received $8.6M in total, which increased by 104% compared to 2018. 68% of Rhodes' compensation, or $5.9M, was in option awards. Rhodes also received $1.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.1M in salary, $90K in stock awards, as well as $175K in other compensation.
William T. Giles, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $3.1M, which increased by 25% compared to previous year. 58% of the compensation package, or $1.8M, was in option awards.
Thomas B. Newbern, Executive Vice President, Store Operations, Commercial, ALLDATA & Loss Prevention, earned $2.9M in 2019, a 40% increase compared to previous year.
Mark A. Finestone, Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Supply Chain Marketing, received $2.9M in 2019, which increases by 36% compared to 2018.
Ronald B. Griffin, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, earned $2M in 2019.
AutoZone's fiscal year ends on August 27.
