BlackRock reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on April 12, 2019.
In 2018, five BlackRock executives received on average a compensation package of $14M, a 28% decrease compared to previous year.

Laurence D. Fink, Chief Executive Officer, received $27M in total, which decreased by 4% compared to 2017. 64% of Fink's compensation, or $17M, was in stock awards. Fink also received $7.8M in bonus, $1.5M in salary, as well as $244K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $136,313 at BlackRock. Therefore, the ratio of Laurence D. Fink's pay to the median employee pay was 195 to one.
Robert S. Kapito, President, received a compensation package of $21M, which decreased by 5% compared to previous year. 63% of the compensation package, or $13M, was in stock awards.
Robert L. Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer, earned $7.9M in 2018, a 57% decrease compared to previous year.
J. Richard Kushel, Global Head of Multi-Asset Strategies and Global Fixed Income, received $6.9M in 2018, which decreases by 54% compared to 2017.
Gary S. Shedlin, Chief Financial Officer, earned $6.6M in 2018, a 54% decrease compared to previous year.
