BlackRock reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 14, 2022.
In 2021, five BlackRock executives received on average a compensation package of $18M, a 31% increase compared to previous year.

Laurence D. Fink, Chief Executive Officer, received $33M in total, which increased by 19% compared to 2020. 58% of Fink's compensation, or $19M, was in stock awards. Fink also received $11M in bonus, $1.5M in salary, as well as $988K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $164,492 at BlackRock. Therefore, the ratio of Laurence D. Fink's pay to the median employee pay was 198 to one.
Robert S. Kapito, President, received a compensation package of $27M, which increased by 21% compared to previous year. 57% of the compensation package, or $15M, was in stock awards.
Robert L. Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer, earned $13M in 2021, a 24% increase compared to previous year.
J. Richard Kushel, Senior Managing Director and Head of the Portfolio Management Group, received $11M in 2021, which increases by 28% compared to 2020.
Gary S. Shedlin, Chief Financial Officer, earned $9.1M in 2021, a 20% increase compared to previous year.
