Devon Energy reported fiscal year 2007 executive compensation information on April 28, 2008.
In 2007, five executives at Devon Energy received on average a compensation package of $7.5M, a 33% increase compared to previous year.

J. Larry Nichols, Chief Executive Officer, received $18M in total, which increased by 41% compared to 2006. 36% of Nichols' compensation, or $6.5M, was in option awards. Nichols also received $2.6M in bonus, $2.4M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.2M in salary, $5.2M in stock awards, as well as $247K in other compensation.
John Richels, President, received a compensation package of $8.3M, which increased by 60% compared to previous year. 31% of the compensation package, or $2.6M, was in stock awards.
Stephen J. Hadden, former Executive Vice President, earned $4.8M in 2007, a 82% increase compared to previous year.
Darryl G. Smette, Executive Vice President, received $4.2M in 2007, which increases by 4% compared to 2006.
Danny J. Heatly, Senior Vice President — Accounting principal financial officer, earned $2M in 2007, a 38% increase compared to previous year.
