MediciNova reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on April 26, 2019.
In 2018, three MediciNova executives received on average a compensation package of $2M, a 58% increase compared to previous year.
Average pay of disclosed executives at MediciNova
Yuichi Iwaki, President and Chief and Executive Officer, received $2.9M in total, which increased by 12% compared to 2017. 67% of Iwaki's compensation, or $1.9M, was in option awards. Iwaki also received $372K in non-equity incentive plan, $551K in salary, as well as $17K in other compensation.
Kazuko Matsuda, Chief Medical Officer, received a compensation package of $1.8M, which increased by 11% compared to previous year. 66% of the compensation package, or $1.2M, was in option awards.
Geoffrey O'Brien, Vice President, earned $1.3M in 2018, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
