NewMarket reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 11, 2022.
In 2021, five NewMarket executives received on average a compensation package of $1.5M, a 15% decrease compared to previous year.
Thomas E. Gottwald, Chief Executive Officer, received $2.5M in total, which decreased by 22% compared to 2020. 46% of Gottwald's compensation, or $1.1M, was in salary. Gottwald also received $528K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $500K in non-equity incentive plan, $258K in stock awards, as well as $58K in other compensation.
