Universal reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on June 25, 2008.
In 2008, six Universal executives received on average a compensation package of $2.2M, a 85% increase compared to previous year.

Allen B. King, Chief Executive Officer, received $4.8M in total, which increased by 63% compared to 2007. 26% of King's compensation, or $1.3M, was in option awards. King also received $647K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $756K in salary, $901K in stock awards, as well as $97K in other compensation.
George C. Freeman, III, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $2.3M, which increased by 191% compared to previous year. 30% of the compensation package, or $694K, was in non-equity incentive plan.
W. Keith Brewer, Chief Operating Officer, earned $2M in 2008, a 83% increase compared to previous year.
Hartwell H. Roper, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.7M in 2008, which increases by 48% compared to 2007.
David C. Moore, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.7M in 2008, a 187% increase compared to previous year.
Karen M. L. Whelan, Vice President and Treasurer, received $966K in 2008, which increases by 39% compared to 2007.
Universal's fiscal year ends on March 31.
