U.S. Bancorp reports 2021 executive compensation

U.S. Bancorp reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 8, 2022.
In 2021, five executives at U.S. Bancorp received on average a compensation package of $8.5M, a 29% increase compared to previous year.

Andrew Cecere, Chief Executive Officer, received $19M in total, which increased by 14% compared to 2020. 51% of Cecere's compensation, or $9.8M, was in stock awards. Cecere also received $3.6M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $4.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, as well as $49K in other compensation.
Terrance R. Dolan, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $7.2M, which increased by 9% compared to previous year. 56% of the compensation package, or $4M, was in stock awards.
Gunjan Kedia, Vice Chair, Wealth Management and Investment Services, earned $5.4M in 2021, a 36% increase compared to previous year.
Shailesh M. Kotwal, Vice Chair, Payment Services, received $5.4M in 2021, which increases by 44% compared to 2020.
Jeffry H. von Gillern, Vice Chair, Technology and Operations Services, earned $5.3M in 2021, a 20% increase compared to previous year.
