VMware reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on May 28, 2020.
In 2020, five VMware executives received on average a compensation package of $20M, a 57% increase compared to previous year.

Patrick P. Gelsinger, Chief Executive Officer, received $43M in total, which increased by 81% compared to 2019. 94% of Gelsinger's compensation, or $40M, was in stock awards. Gelsinger also received $1.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $28K in other compensation.
