AutoZone reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on October 26, 2020.
In 2020, five AutoZone executives received on average a compensation package of $5M, a 29% increase compared to previous year.

William C. Rhodes III, Chief Executive Officer, received $12M in total, which increased by 34% compared to 2019. 63% of Rhodes' compensation, or $7.3M, was in option awards. Rhodes also received $2.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.1M in salary, $89K in stock awards, as well as $181K in other compensation.
William T. Giles, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $4M, which increased by 26% compared to previous year. 51% of the compensation package, or $2M, was in option awards.
Thomas B. Newbern, Executive Vice President, Store Operations, Commercial, Loss Prevention & ALLDATA, earned $3.7M in 2020, a 28% increase compared to previous year.
Mark A. Finestone, Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing and eCommerce, received $3.4M in 2020, which increases by 19% compared to 2019.
Philip B. Daniele, Senior Vice President, Commercial, earned $2.6M in 2020.
AutoZone's fiscal year ends on August 27.
